Welcome to The 4-State
The annual 4-State video competition for high school broadcast and film students took place November 7-9, 2025 on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. This was the 18th year of the 4-State.
The event gave high school students a chance to shine in broadcast journalism and film categories. The cost was only $75 per student, which included contest entry fees. Teachers and chaperones were free.
The event included novice contests for students in their first semester of a video class, and varsity events for students with more experience. The video package was produced by Greenwood Laboratory School’s broadcast journalism students.
Official registration takes place August 15 – October 15, but teachers may fill out the Sign-Up form anytime before then. Attendees are limited to 350.

Contests entries will be submitted on flash drives.
